chore: prepare the 3.8.5 release (#790)

* chore: prepare the 3.8.5 release

Bumps src.__version__ to 3.8.5 and turns Unreleased into ## 3.8.5:
src.common.sports_rankings (#789, sports family 8), which the scoreboards
adopt by flooring on 3.8.5, and #754's settled-day chunk memory, which had
no CHANGELOG entry and gets one from its commit message. src/common/README.md
and docs/SPORTS_UNIFICATION.md say 3.8.5 for the module.
